In 1970, Jim O'Neal started attending races with some spare tires and parts to sell to local riders. His first major product was Preston Petty fenders, which quickly became popular as off-road racing was becoming more serious and demand for better parts, apparel, and accessories was growing. This was the beginning of Jim O'Neal Distributing and the birth of O'NEAL USA, a global leader in Motocross and MTB protective apparel and accessories.

For over fifty years, O’NEAL has been designing and developing helmets, jerseys, pants, protectors, gloves, boots, and more. The O'Neal 3 SRS features a durable ABS shell construction, which meets DOT FMVSS 218, ECE 22-05, and AS/NZS safety standards. The shell weight for a size large is 1340grams (±50), and it also includes an ultra-plush removable/washable padded liner to keep you cool and dry by wicking away sweat. The adjustable visor design, intake and exhaust vents, and durable multi-colored clear coated graphics ensure ventilation and cooling to keep you comfortable during your ride.
