Motion Energy Distribution System [M.E.D.S.]

The proprietary, SHOEI-exclusive M.E.D.S. features a dual-layer, multi-density EPS liner that is specially engineered to reduce rotational acceleration energy to the head, preserving lightweight, impact-absorbing characteristics.

Shell Design + Aerodynamics

Thanks to a new state-of-the-art shell forming technology exclusive only to SHOEI, the VFX-EVO incorporates the aerodynamic advantages of a spoiler into its shell, while consistent shell thickness ensures proper strength and weight of each helmet.

Ventilation Performance

Racing environments can be extremely hot, which is why next-level ventilation performance was a top priority when making the VFX-EVO. Developed in SHOEI’s in-house wind tunnel, the advanced ventilation performance has been optimized to realize optimal vent port shapes, sizes, and locations.

Comfort

The VFX-EVO is equipped with a fully removable, washable, adjustable, and replaceable 3D Max-Dry Interior System for a plush fit and secure hold while absorbing and dissipating sweat 2x faster than traditional nylon interiors.

Advanced Features

The VFX-EVO boasts a large eyeport for a massive peripheral field of vision, a fine-tuned V-470 Visor, and an advanced mouthpiece that is wind tunnel-refined for optimal cooling. The high-quality EPS liner material throughout the entire chin bar enhances impact absorption.

Maximized Ventilation

Cool air passes through the front intake vents, cools the helmet interior, and is exhausted through the rear vents by the force of negative air pressure. Additional front intake vents, rear exhaust outlet vents, and an enlarged neck outlet vent maximize flow-through ventilation.

Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S.)

In case of an accident, the E.Q.R.S. features special straps under the cheek pads which allow them to be easily removed, enabling emergency personnel to quickly take off the helmet.
